Emily is a licensed acupuncturist who graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. After acquiring her Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, she moved back to the Northwest to pursue her career in providing relief for such ailments as headaches, acute and chronic pain management, side effects of chemo/radiation, asthma, bronchitis, addiction, immune disorders, digestive disorders, anxiety, depression, and stress.
She has had the opportunity to work at the San Diego Cancer Center, in an integrative setting between oncologists and acupuncturists. She was able to provide relief from the uncomfortable side effects of radiation and chemotherapy. More often than not, acupuncture was the only modality that gave the patients comfort from nausea and vomiting, low appetite, neuropathy of the fingers and toes, and helping to keep the immune system as strong as possible.
Emily also interned at a senior center in San Diego, where she worked closely with the senior community providing maintenance and a better quality of life without adding any more pills (or their side effects!) to their daily routines.
